Hathor ("House of Hor (us)") is a mother goddess in Egyptian mythology, called "mother of the mothers" and "mother of the gods". She is both the mother and daughter of the sun god Ra. The word "house" was used metaphorically in ancient Egyptian culture for the mother body, which was considered symbolically a vessel, in this case "all-encompassing."

It was in its oldest form dating from the 27th century BC. depicted in the shape of a cow, later also sometimes with a lion's head in association with her terrible aspect Sekhmet. Sometimes she had two faces, one looking forward and the other looking back. Later on, Hathor became more and more attributes of the throne goddess Isis and was identified with her. Isis-Hathor (the union of Hathor and Isis) was the most popular goddess in all of Egypt. This goddess was a model of beauty, joy, power and motherhood. She was a goddess who had many associations and therefore a lot of influence, she was the ultimate queen of gods.
